MH-C9000 WizardOne Battery Charger & Analyzer is suitable for the casual consumer users and professionals. WizardOne is capable of charging, conditioning, analyzing, cycling, forming and discharging one to four AA or AAA batteries, all while digitally displaying the battery capacity and voltage. All four slots can be operated independently in different modes and settings. Those seeing the unit for the first time will be struck by its large LCD screen, backlit by ultra-bright white LEDs. Measuring over 3.5 by 1.5, the display is more than three times larger than its closest competition and shows a wealth of information that is easy to read. In addition to the standard charging, conditioning and discharging, the WizardOne charger-analyzer also offers two unusual operations modes. The Break-In mode allows the user to input the capacity of the battery and performs a forming charge designed to properly break-in new batteries. The Cycle mode allows user to charge and discharge batteries consecutively while storing the capacity for up to 15 cycles. There are ten selectable charging and discharging current from 0.2A to 2.0A and 0.1A to 1.0A respectively. The charger also features four independent temperature sensors using Maha's latest temperature rise detection algorithm in addition to the usual peak temperature detection. It also armed with additional patented termination algorithms found in other Maha chargers. The unit can be operated in a basic and advanced mode. In the basic mode, user merely needs to insert the batteries with no further key press. The charger will select the appropriate settings automatically, making it suitable for the casual users.With the purchase of this charger, you will also receive one four pack of Maha's newest 2400 low discharge Imedion AA battery. Got this charger in after reading all the good reviews on the main product page (where the batteries aren't included). The two deciding factors in my purchase were the 3 year warranty, which shows that Maha really stands behind this product, and the increased power in each slot it can charge (as well as the slots being further apart to reduce heating). As far as performance goes, I had 4 old Energizer 2500 mAh rated batteries that had failed on me as of late, but I didn't want to throw them away just in case I found something like this. I ran the break-in cycle since they hadn't been really used in 3 months, and 2 days later, I get 3 perfectly healthy batteries right around the 1900~2000 mAh range, and one weak battery in the 1400 mAh range. Not bad for batteries that are 2 years old and had been used pretty much to their brink! Not once did the batteries or charger become hot, as the built in wire stand kept everything elevated (a really nice touch).
Like everyone else is saying, the screen makes a great night-light, and is easy to read at a head on viewing angle.
On another note, people are complaining that it takes too many button presses to get to the modes they want. Really? You bought a $50 charger that is really the best of its kind and you are complaining that it takes a mere 10-15 button presses to get to the settings you want (which are clearly laid out for you on the screen)? To see each individual battery's status all you have to do is cycle the "slot" button and it'll show you which battery you need to see. Really, it's plain and simple, and not worth complaining about.
The fact that for $8.50 more you get 4 imedion batteries included is a bargain, and a necessity if you want to get the full value of this charger.
Bottom line: Great charger, built like a tank, and a good investment once you switch all of your handheld electronics' batteries to rechargables. Five stars.

Garbage! : Nikon COOLPIX L24 14 MP Digital Camera with 3.6x NIKKOR Optical Zoom Lens and 3-Inch LCD (Black)

Bought this camera for my daughter. One month later, the battery compartment door keeping pins break, rendering the unit useless and there was no way to close the door-not even with tape. I learned of this in July as she was away at school, but it is 'guaranteed' for 1 year! Yay! I followed Nikon's directions to return to them. They advised me that they did not think this covered as it was potential we may have dropped it or forced the door closed. I calmly explained that wasn't the case And that we had a friend with the same camera and same problem! Also, you can read the reviews of this camera on various sites (or the L-22) to see that it's a tasteless gripe. They would not fix it and wanted $93. After the postage/insurance to ship it to them, I could buy a new camera. But I will not ever buy other Nikon product. I am sticking with Canon as they have covered their product for me in the past Out of warranty!!! You've been warned.
